Quality Screenplay Evaluations

The importance of feedback

As a writer, I know the value of good, unbiased, practical feedback. When I'm too close to my own writing to see its strengths and its faults, I send my script out for comments. Getting quality feedback, however, is difficult. I'm lucky. I've found my small circle of good, trusted readers. But have you?

How I can help

My feedback is encouraging, professional, and very constructive. I critique the writing, not the writer. I do my best to see your story from your point of view, and I make suggestions to help you improve that vision. I like to start with the big picture (concept, structure, story) before I go to specific details (a particular scene, a line of dialogue). I point to clear examples, and I always explain my reasoning.

How it works

You send me your preliminary materials for review. If I feel I can help you, we'll proceed with the feedback process. Prices depend on script lenth, turn-around time, and the kind of feedback you're looking for. But just so you know, fees start at $100/ €70.

If for any reason I feel I can't help you, I'll return your materials and suggest other resources that might be more useful to you. I do not charge a fee for pointing you elsewhere, nor does anyone pay me to make such recommendations.

Interested? Then email me and let's talk. Please don't send your script just yet. I will delete any attachments that I haven't requested.
