Paris Talk on Screenwriting

I'm giving  a talk on Screenwriting in Paris on January 19. Would love to have you drop by! Details below.

If it's Not on the Page, It's not on the Stage: The Importance of the Script in the Filmmaking Process

A Bridge Media Network Event

Film is a collaborative art. It takes a team of producers, directors, actors, cameramen, tech people, lawyers, and more to make a movie. But none of those people have a reason to get up and go to work until a screenwriter has written a script.

Screenwriters Alexis Niki and Pascale Rey share their experiences with you and discuss what it means to be a screenwriter today. Learn about the differences in the profession between the US and France; why writing a script demands a different set of skills to writing a novel or directing a movie; how different members of the filmmaking team read a script; and why not even a good actor can save a bad script. If you're a writer, director, producer, or actor, or If you're simply curious to know how movies get from script to screen, join us for this fun and informative event.

Conference begins promptly at 15h15.
Networking continues afterwards until 18h00.

Congratulation, Alexis!

It's great to be up-to-dated in screenwriting craft and understand better importance of the well-written script. That is crucial for a writer to know how the script would be read by filmmaking team. Also, it's make your conference unique.

Best of luck!
