Good News, Better News, Bad News

The good news is the first draft of my latest project is done. I gave it to my first reader, who is always my husband, and he didn't find any structural howlers or plot inconsistencies. Hooray! I'm putting it aside for ten days before integrating his comments, and then I'll send it to my other readers. The better news is in the meantime I can start researching my next project. I find it so much easier to detach myself from a current project if Ithrow myself into a new one. By the time all my readers get back to me, I'll be able to tackle the rewrite with fresh eyes.

Oh yeah - the bad news. My other script didn't get any further in the American Screenwriting Competition. C'est la vie.
