DreamAgo

I recently took a workshop with script consultant Linda Seger, author of How to Make a Good Script Great and several other books on screenwriting. She was visiting Paris, where I live, and by some stroke of luck I happened to hear about the workshop at the last minute. During the workshop, Linda showed film clips to illustrate many of her points: using mini-three-act structures for each scene/scene sequence; thinking about cohesive image systems; creating believable character arcs; expressing group conflict through a single, representative antagonist; and more. I tucked a few more film analyzing tools under my belt -- always a good thing!

One of the best parts about the whole experience was that I also discovered DreamAgo, the Paris-based organization that organized the workshop.

DreamAgo’s mission is to help nurture, develop, actualize, and promote screenwriter's projects for the screen. Founded in France in 2005, DreamAgo is a non profit organization bringing together film professionals of all nationalities. Aimed at screenwriters, directors, producers and distributors, DreamAgo creates dynamic synergies around the cornerstone of each and every movie: the script. Its primary goal is to turn scripts into strong, personal and emotional movies with wide and diverses audience appeal.

I'm in the process of submitting a membership application, which includes a resume, a letter of interest, and a script. Here's hoping I'll be accepted!
