I am an American screenwriter and script consultant living in Paris, France.
After more than a decade as a freelance translator and subtitler for customers such Columbia Tristar, Warner Brothers, and German national and private television, I feel I understand storytelling on both sides of the Atlantic.
I specialize in smart, character-driven entertainment with an edge. I'm fascinated by characters who attempt to bridge contrasting pulls within their own personalities, and my work explores the endless dance between our need for individuation and our need for connection.
In 2007, I partnered with Georges Leclere, former Executive Director of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the current Director of the Banff World Television Awards, to write and develop ecology-themed stories that explore our connection to our environment. One of these projects, Worried Green, is currently in development.
In addition to my own writing, I'm a consultant for Pavaline Studios in New York as well as to the international film association DreamAgo. I'm also the author of the book 101 SCREENWRITING TIPS.
I'm currently in pre-production on my web series, MY BITCHY WITCHY PARIS VACATION, slated for production in late 2009 and directed by Kartik Singh.
My other big passion in life is personal growth. I'm a teacher of the Alexander Technique. If you'd like to find out more about my day job, click here.
